How ready is your MSP to sell?
It took me fifteen months and hundreds of questions to sell mine. Here are twenty seven of them, so you can see where you'd stand today.
When I sold my MSP, I found out the hard way that "the business is doing fine" and "the business is ready to sell" are two completely different questions. Buyers, and their advisers, will ask about your finances, your contracts, your people, your security, your IT, and more, in more detail than you'd expect. This is a quick, honest snapshot across those same nine areas. It won't tell you everything. It'll tell you enough to know where to look first
What this assessment covers, and what it doesn't
This is an MSP acquisition readiness assessment in miniature. The twenty seven statements come straight from the Initial Sale Readiness Review I run with clients, three from each of the nine areas a buyer's due diligence team will look at: Finance, Tax, Legal, HR, Operations, Processes, Cyber and Security, IT, and Marketing and Sales.
It's a snapshot, not a verdict. A buyer's team will ask around 451 questions, and this covers 27 of them. If your score surprises you, in either direction, that's exactly the conversation worth having before a buyer has it for you.
Common questions
Is it free?
Yes. There's no charge and no obligation. Enter your name and email at the end to unlock your full breakdown, and I'll send you a copy to keep.
What happens to my answers?
Your scores and answers are stored securely with your name and email so I can send you your results. I won't share them with anyone, and I'll only send you anything else if you tick the box to say you'd like it. The privacy policy has the details.
What if my score is low?
Then you've found out now, not halfway through a sale. When I sold mine, operations and cyber security took far longer than I'd expected, because the paperwork simply wasn't there yet. The full Initial Review shows exactly where your gaps are, so you can decide what to do about them.
You get a clearer picture of your readiness and the practical priorities that can improve your position.
